Robin

Robin lived in Suffolk with their mother and sibling for most of their life and continued with weekend contact after Robin moved to live with their father, stepmother, and step-sibling for the last four years of Robin’s life. Robin died by suicide at the age of fourteen, after a previous attempt earlier in the same year while in their mother’s care. A safeguarding referral was not made by the hospital at the time, and Robin was not reviewed by mental health services at the hospital. Robin’s father took Robin to the GP the following day, and a referral was made to the emotional wellbeing hub. Robin was assessed a few months later and placed on a waiting list for counselling, where they remained at the time of their death.
